B.L.E.S.S. | BLESSed to be a BLESSing

How to use it: After watching/listening to this week’s message, from October 22, 2023, use the questions to go deeper into the message, with your group…or on your own. The questions will introduce you to the topic, reflect content from the sermon, go ‘Beyond the Message’, & get you thinking about practical applications for your life.

  1. Are you more of a “Nothing-to-Do” or an “Always-Something-to-Do” person? Have you ever experienced a calling or moment when you became a “Have-to-Do” person?

  2. Read John 4:1-42. Most Jewish people would absolutely avoid going through Samaria (v.9), so what do you think it means that Jesus “had to go through Samaria” (v.4)? What are some of the ways that Jesus blessed the Samaritan woman? What was the outcome of him BLESSing her?

  3. Read Genesis 12:1-3 and Luke 10:1-3. What do these passages tell you about the character and nature of God?

  4. Read Matthew 28:19-20. The command to “go” may mean going somewhere in particular (like moving across town or around the globe). It can also mean “as you go” wherever you go (like going about your daily routine). Where do you believe God is asking you to “go” be a BLESSing?

  5. What is preventing you from becoming a “Have-to-Do” person with regard to “loving your neighbours?”
